Rules : The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing and the applicable Deeds of Gift.

Advertising : This regatta is classified as Category 'C' in accordance with the RRS and SCIRA Advertising Prescriptions.

Entry and Elegibility : This regatta is open to boats that are properly registered with SCIRA for the 2008 calendar year and registered skippers in good standing for the current year.

Registration and Fees : An advance registration form is available on the Snipe Fleet 330 website

Complete regatta package $90.00 ($85 USSA)

Saturday Breakfast - $5.00 per person
Saturday Lunch - $7.00 per person
Saturday Children's Dinner (under 12) - $5.00 per person

Measurement : (1) All boats shall have a valid Measurement Data Sheet on file with SCIRA and are subject to measurement at any time at the reasonable discretion of the SCIRA Representative, or Race Committee. (2) All boats are required to have a current Class decal properly displayed.

Sailing Instructions : The regatta Sailing Instructions will be available at the registration desk when registration opens.

Courses : The courses will be 'variant' per SCIRA Rules for Conducting Sanctioned Regattas.

Scoring : The SCIRA Low Point scoring system will be used. No drop races will be permitted. Tie scores shall be broken in accordance with the SCIRA Low Point Scoring Table modified (1) to include an absolute tie breaker and changing DNF. The tie breaking order shall be; (1) The boat (skipper(s) beating the other(s) in head-on competition, (2) The boat with the most first places and when the tie remains, the most second places, and so on, (3) If the fleet is divided the boat that sailed in the Fleet starting first or second in the last race sailed, with the designated start determined by blind draw after the fleets have been seeded. The designated start will be posted on the Official Regatta Notice Board before the first race. DNF equals one place more than the last finisher in the race to be scored.

Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are participating entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any other organization or official) will not be responsible for damage to any boat or other property or the injury to any competitor, including death, sustained as a result of participation in this event. By participating in this event, each competitor agrees to release the race organizers from any and all liability associated with such competitors participation in this event to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Prizes : Prizes will be awarded as follows;

  • Skipper and crew for the top 3 places in the Junior race(s)
  • Skipper and crew for the top 5 in the Spook Division
  • Perpetual trophies to the top skipper and crew in the Spook Division
  • Skipper and crew for the top 3 in the Goblin Division
  • Perpetual trophy to the top skipper in the Goblin Division
  • Highest placing Master skipper (55 years and over)
  • Highest placing female skipper (keeper and perpetual)
  • Highest placing junior skipper and crew (keeper) and perpetual for skipper (skipper and crew not reaching their 22nd birthdays this year)

Motels are within 4 miles of AYC (at I-75 Interchange with Hwy 92, exit 277 - route to Club)
